After rugby practise Chloe walks home alone “Man I live far! Good thing this alleyway is here!” while Chloe was walking she heard twigs snap behind her, as soon as she heard that she had chills down her spine. she looked back but saw that no one was there so she kept on walking. then suddenly out of no where She heard footsteps walking closer to her.“OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH” she said in her head, she was too frightened to turn around. Her legs started wobbling every time she took a step It felt like they were going to snap.

“Gosh this alleyway takes forever!” She starts running as fast as a cheetah, Panting like she had run out of air her palms sweating hard. She soon gets the feeling that the person is catching up.

She finally has the courage to turn around. But then.. The person covers her eyes!! “AAAHHHHHH!!!!” Screamed chloe. She snatched the persons hands off and quickly turned around. “EMILY! Oh my goodness you scared the living lights out of me!!” “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GOSH! I thought you would've noticed it was me!” Replied Emma.

ANGRY
Emily wants to go to the shopping mall with her older sister (laura)
but Laura says no because Emily is too young and embarrassed by her acts.
“Im going to the mall Mum!” shouted Laura with a smile “Ok honey just be back by 3:00’ answered Mum, “OH MY GOODNESS can I come!! said Emily. Umm no thanks I don't want my friends to see you loser”. Emily clenched her fists and started turning red with rage she stomped as hard as she can.“THIS IS SO UNFAIR! YOU AND YOUR LOSER FRIENDS ALWAYS DO NOTHING!!! I'M WAY MORE COOLER THAN YOU!!, AT LEAST I PLAY AROUND WITH MY FRIENDS INSTEAD OF YOU GUYS, YOU GUYS SPEND YOUR TIME ON THE PHONE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!! “shouted Emily. “Emily can you keep your voice down your baby brother is sleeping. said her mother while she was sitting on the chair watching her son for safety,“No one ever listens to me!” shouted emily. Emily kicks her bathroom door open and cries in the corner.

NERVOUS
My heart Is pounding with fear, my legs start trembling while I walk towards the stage, If I make a mistake everyone will laugh.. Finally on the stage it felt like I had just climbed the wall of china.
“t-t-to-to-th-th-the” I stutter while saying my first word into the microphone. My palms start to sweat, my audience starts making snoring sounds. I'm embarrassed, I run ofF the stage and into the bathroom tears start running down my red face Locking the bathroom doors and windows covering my eyes with embarrassment. While i'm crying I think of all the opportunities that I will miss so with bravery I stood Up flung the door open and went back on stage. The audience were confused because they thought I wouldn't last. But I came back and finished my speech just then I heard cheering and clapping I was proud of myself.

EXCITED
“Oh hey Uncle” while holding the phone, “Hey Tame what are you doing today “Oh nothing much just lying around and cleaning the house why do you ask uncle” Oh it’s nothing you wouldn't be interested” “Interested in what?” “Fishing, of course im a seafood person shouted his uncle. “Hello? Its Lauryn  yeah Its been forever!” “LALALALALALALALALALALALA” Emma sings while banging Lauryn's door. “Ugh! hold on kaitlyn, Emma you lost child be quiet! Emma continues singing, but louder! “ Sorry kaitlynn its my little sister being a giant pest, yeah yeah my little sister isn't like you're little brother!” Lauryn starts to get a headache from emmas singing. “MUM!!! Can you tell Emma to be quiet!” “ Emma be quiet!”
“Yeah...nah” Emma whispered, she continues to be a pest. “Lauryn starts getting mad but she starts to calm down “MUM!” “Emma can you please stop! youre sister is trying to study!! ” “I dont care!” Thats it you're grounded!” “thanks mum” she chuckles.

The Treaty Of Waitangi by Mya and Sapphire.

On February the 6th 1840 there was a contract between the maori and the british people. William hobson brought the contract from britain on behalf of Queen Victoria. One of the maori chiefs signed the contract.

What it was like when the treaty was being signed?
before the treaty was signed people were arguing about what will happen in the future, and what the treaty will bring. It took months for the moari chief to decide if they sign it

What the treaty means for us at school?
Without this treaty pakeha and maori will start a war. but don’t forget there's more different kind of cultures out there who knows what will happen this might be the time for a catastrophe.

School life in Malawi by sapphire and mya

Intro: This week we are comparing our lives with a girl named Omar. She is a primary student who lives in Malawi. We recently watched her video about her life., and her school life at Mwaya.

I think we have differnt school lives, because she wakes up at 6:00 to walk to school. We wake up at 7:00 am and some people go to school at 8:00 or 8:30. She walks 6 kilometers to school on the rocky dusty ground with no shoes., we drive to school.

At her school students are 12-16 years old , everyone has an exam at the end of the year. If they fail they stay at the school until they pass it , If they pass it they move to secondary school. They have 2 breaks at 8:40 and 10:40 each for 10 minutes.

Some girls stay home to learn how to cook and farm from their mothers, that means they don't have time to study for exams. Its not just the girls its most of the children. They fail because they help their families

Omar's life at home is really frustrating because her mother and father died when she was young.She and her brother and sisters has to sleep on the floor while the grampa sleeps on the only bed because he sick.Omar has to do chores she walks to the well and collects water for her family that is used for bathing,cooking and cleaning

Some students go to the school at night time to study for the exam. When its 9:00 they stop studying and sleep at the school. 

Similarities:

We have comfortable shoes unlike Omar she has bare feet and has to walk on a rocky dusty road . She has to clean her school every time she gets there.

we have the contrast things as Omar here in NZ that we both clean and do chores. But her chores are more difficult than ours. some students study at school unlike people in NZ they can just study at home because they have time.

Similarly to Omar we both sing our own national anthem and we study. We also have chores to do everyday. We also do exams when were in college.

Hook: Standing amongst the huge crowd I could sense hope. In 1963 August 28th Martin Luther King (aka MLK) made his speech to try and unite all of us together, and try to make it equal for the black and white people of the United States Of America.
DESCRIBING- All black people were there to support each other and make a change people were trying to make the country a better place for all people. Martin luther king tried to make equal rights for everybody so that all the states could come together and make one safe and happy country.

EFFECTING US- If we were black kids it will affect us in so many ways such as, being slaves for white people and they don’t pay you. using the public toilets when you need to go to the toilet, using different water fountains, segregated and many things that black people can’t do.

The white people demand all black people to sit at the back of the bus. White people get 10x more funding than the black peoples school.
